Philosophy
God’s glory is the chosen highest aim based on the belief that aiming for the highest possible good brings out the very best in us.
The practice of law has a long history and deep tradition. The client-centered approach to practicing law is based on the Rule described by Jesus in Matthew’s Gospel (in response to a Lawyer’s question):
And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?”
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
We work every day to treat our clients the way we would want to be treated. The mission comes down to applying this concept to the delivery of legal services.
In this way and many others, our approach to the law is distinctly influenced by our Christian faith. The principles in God’s law have been the bedrock for law and jurisprudence in the United States since its founding. Those principles shape how we practice law and how we do business.
We strive to put our clients first.
We are open and transparent about how we bill, and how much we charge for a service.
We never pressure clients to hire us.
We joyfully give away services for low or no cost to those in need.
We strive to resolve conflict with creative, peaceable solutions.
We do this because that’s how we would want to be treated if we were the client.
